What we keep, and why
A NEXUS account is optional. It lets a site like Rumbo Maps keep your saved places and settings so they follow you to another device. Every site works without one.
What your account holds
- Your username and email. The email is only for sign-in codes and password notices. Sites you sign in to see your username, never your email.
- Your password, scrambled. Stored as a bcrypt hash; nobody, including us, can read it back.
- What each site saves for you, and only that site can read it. For Rumbo Maps: your saved places and your settings.
- A sign-in history for your security: when, which device type (like "iPhone · Safari"), and your network address. You can see it on your account page. It is kept for up to 400 days.
What it never holds
- No location history. Signing in does not send where you are or where you drive.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing your data.
- No copy of your sign-in codes anywhere but your own inbox.
Your choices
- Download my data gives you everything above as one file.
- Forget a site removes what that one site saved.
- Delete my account removes the account and everything saved in it, right away. The security log keeps the events but no longer names you.
- An account that never confirms its email is deleted within a day.
Who runs it
NEXUS Accounts is run by ATX NEXUS in Austin, Texas. The data lives in our Supabase database; emails are sent through our Google Workspace mailbox. Questions: alfredo@atxnexus.com.
